A lot has occurred because the passing of Chanel’s most iconic inventive director Karl Lagerfeld, leaving the sphere open to newer interpretation. Present Inventive Director, Virginie Viard brings a youthful, extra edgy vibe to the historic French model whereas retaining the signatures of the French luxurious maison. And that opens out a world of experimentation for us right here at Verve, and the chance to current a particular perspective that performs with expectations of who matches the model’s quintessential aesthetic.

“The concept was to deal with Chanel classics and break a stereotype, to supply a contemporary new perspective,” says Verve’s model growth and artistic advisor, Nitya Arora who selects tweed skirt units, pearls and knit attire from Chanel’s Pre-Fall and Autumn/Winter 2021 collections to fashion mannequin Tarun Panwar. “He has such a gorgeous and robust face, and he carried off the crimson lips completely,” provides Arora. “And there’s a softness about him that can be very Chanel.”

Photographer Imdad Barbhuyan, with attribute inventive twist, superbly captures the moody atmosphere created in Prateek Jain and Gautam Seth’s Klove Studio of design, sculptural installations and lights.
