Linked college students and households don’t attend and associate with “the” college–they achieve this with “their” college. They aren’t friends who meet, exceed, or fall in need of another person’s expectations, however moderately, architects of environments that replicate what’s necessary to them.
When our college students and their households contemplate the connections they’ve with their college, what do they see? If the reply doesn’t embody an abundance of their voice, enter, and affect, then we’re lacking an important alternative.
Relationships which are one-way are usually not productive for college kids, households, or finally, any college or group. We don’t keep engaged in relationships that don’t enable us to contribute to them in significant methods.
