Louisville, Ky. – To encourage customers to make kinder purchases within the new 12 months, PETA has plastered bike kiosks all through town with messages interesting to everybody to let sheep hold their coats. The advertisements are a part of PETA’s new marketing campaign urging folks to go for wool-free winter clothes.

“As soon as folks get the message that sheep are shorn bloody for wool, they’re wanting to go for cozy, animal-free clothes,” says PETA Government Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA is urging everybody to resolve to go away cruelly produced wool on the rack in 2022 and past.”

PETA has launched 14 exposés documenting employees’ cruelty to sheep—together with punching them within the face and slicing off swaths of their pores and skin—at 117 wool-industry operations on 4 continents. An apparel-industry sustainability index exhibits that due to the greenhouse-gas emissions created throughout wool manufacturing, the fabric has a far better affect on the local weather disaster than its vegan counterparts. Eco-friendly vegan clothes choices are kinder to sheep and the planet, as they keep away from wool-industry pollution, which contaminate the air, water, and land.

An inventory of all 21 advert places is on the market upon request.

PETA—whose motto reads, partially, that “animals will not be ours to put on”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For extra info, please go to PETA.org or observe the group on Twitter, Fb, or Instagram.
