Mogadishu, Somalia (Horn Observer) Somalia army chief Odowa Yusuf Rage said on Monday 150 militants were killed as the group suffered great loss during the operation carried out 30km East of Adan Yabal district.
Somali forces supported by
the local clan militias have been battling the militant group Al-Shabab in several
regions in the country including Middle Shabelle region pushing the militant out
of several villages and towns.
“We killed total of over 150 Al-Shabaab militants during the operation this
week, we killed 50 terrorists 30 km east of Aden Yabal town and over 100 others
near Masjid Ali Gudud in the same region, SNA forces with International
partners entensity counter terrorism “, Rage said.
Media reports quoting government officials said the government uncovered
mass graves at Adan Yabal district filled with Al-Shabab fighters.
