As our environments change, so too do the sounds they make — and this variation in soundscape can impact us in a complete host of the way, from our wellbeing to the best way we take into consideration conservation. On this Podcast Further we hear from one researcher, Simon Butler, who’s combining citizen science information with know-how to recreate soundscapes misplaced to the previous. Butler hopes to higher perceive how soundscapes change in response to adjustments within the surroundings, and use this to look ahead to the soundscapes of the long run.
