Funding Accessible for Columbia Basin Arts, Tradition + Heritage Teams — BC Alliance for Arts + Tradition

The Regional District of Central Kootenay is now accepting purposes for 2022 Columbia Basin Belief Group Initiative funding. The applying deadline is February 11, 2022.

The Metropolis of Nelson has 4 sustainability pillars; tradition, economic system, atmosphere and social, which Council targets to fund equally. Arts, Tradition & Heritage purposes are adjudicated by way of an unbiased jury of locals arts, tradition & heritage professionals. Their suggestions are forwarded to Metropolis Council for evaluation. Council hears from all group teams throughout a Committee of the Entire assembly within the spring and makes closing suggestions to the Regional District of Central Kootenay Board.

The Columbia Basin Belief Group Initiatives program funds tasks that meet priorities in all communities and rural areas within the Basin.

The funding is meant to foster actions that every group deems essential and to fund tasks supported by the group that may in any other case not have been undertaken.
