Presenting a digital dialog with Rebecca Lyon, Jaime Smallboy, and Aleen Sparrow on “unraveling colonial threads.” Colonialism is deeply embedded in our techniques. Be a part of us as we hear from three Indigenous ladies artists as they discuss to us about what it means to “unravel” these colonial threads. By means of their work, they’re reconnecting to their Indigenous identities and utilizing their voices to lift consciousness to racism and lateral violence that stems from colonization. This dialog goals to deliver consciousness to how we are able to proceed to teach ourselves on the impacts of colonization throughout Indigenous Peoples month and past.
