CITY OF MALOLOS—Two Chinese language nationals have been arrested for allegedly smuggling P16-million value of faux cigarettes throughout an entrapment operation in Plaridel city, Bulacan province on Wednesday, (Jan. 19), authorities mentioned Friday.
Col. Dave Mahilum, director of Prison Investigation and Detection Group in Bulacan, recognized the suspects as Chen Peirong and Cai Shi Chuan.
The 2 have been on board a closed van and touring alongside Plaridel Bypass in Barangay Bulihan round 3: 40 p.m. after they have been intercepted. The van was loaded with counterfeit Fashionable and Fortune cigarettes.
Two trailer vehicles have been tailing the suspects’ van carrying 4 20-foot container vans loaded with extra faux cigarettes.
Mahilum mentioned the gadgets got here from a port in Mariveles city, Bataan province and have been reportedly certain for a warehouse in Plaridel for distribution to sellers in Bulacan.
